Editing: Editing the Documentary

Editing the Documentary

This screenshot shows all the footage that has been captured from the digital video cameras onto adobe premier pro.

I then filtered through the footage deleting parts that we didnt need and keeping parts we did. On this screengrab above, we are cutting up an interview, cutting out the questions and irrelevant answers. We did this for all the footage that we wanted to use.

The tool that was used to cut up the documentary was the "razor tool" which is shown in the image above. This let us make precise cuts throughout the captured footage.

This screen shot shows the editing software as a whole with the timeline of shots and a viewer in the top left which shows what is on the timeline.

In the above screengrab I am placing cutaways into the documenary to cut up long interviews and avoid jump cuts.

Here I am applying graphics to the interviews with their name and relevance to the documentary

This shows us using the effects such as cross divide to create a montage of archive footage.

This shows us editing in the music bed on the timeline and cutting it up.
